The Director of Transportation is responsible for providing the transportation needs for 700+ ambulatory, wheelchair bound, and stretcher bound residents at the State Hospital. As Director we transport the residents to all medical appointments, both on campus and off. We also provide transportation for the recreational and leisure activities of the residents both on and off campus. The Director of Transportation hires, trains, and evaluates all staff in the department as well as purchasing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles and doing inventory for all transportation equipment. Other responsibilities of the Director includes, but is not limited to, communicating with all departments on campus, answering questions, addressing complaints, and establishing work schedules and assignments for staff according to workload and available equipment.

The Facility Manager is responsible for all phases of the day to day operations of a 120 bed facility for individuals who have some form of mental retardation or that are developmentally delayed prior to becoming 21 years old. Included in the duties  of Facility Manager is the hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating of 70+ staff members, completing attendance reports, keeping an open line of  communication with all departments (housekeeping, laundry, nursing, social services, dietary, and etc.) to ensure that all of the needs of residents are met, and being on call 24/7 in case of emergency situations.

As a coach,  my responsibilities  included scheduling games, preparing the field for games, training the student-athletes through practice, and actual game coaching. As a P.E. assistant I was responsible for teaching physical education classes using the curriculum provided by the school.  As the In School Suspension Officer It was my job to make sure that students who were sent to ISS stayed on course with their regular classroom work. As a Bus Driver my task was to safely transport students to school and school related events.
