To Kylie, I wish to apply for the position of Support Worker in Goulburn. I feel I would be an asset to your company. As I have real lived experience with my brother, who is 52 years old. I have cared and supported my brother since a child in many roles. Through is schooling at a Special Needs School, volunteering, fundraising, and in later years, to work there, as a teacher's aide. I feel I have an understanding for people with special needs and disabilities, as I have watched my brother grow, and change with his age, physically and mentally. I have always played a major role, taking him to doctors, specialists, dentists appointments. The dentist which he had an overnight stay in hospital. I've always encouraged him to be the best person he can be, socially and morally. I have been involved in a tree planting scheme, where adults with disabilities were in our supervision. Blackshaw Road Goulburn was our major project. My brother and I are heavily involved in a country show. He takes great pride in setting up, and unpacking the pavilion. Having this experience, and knowing I like to see people interacting, developing and maintaining social skills, this position would be ideal for me. My passion has always been with adult disabilities. Since working at the McGuire Drive house, on a regular basis, I feel I have an insight to it's operations. Reguards, Susan Maclay.
