Professional Summary

I work hard to try and get enough motivation to go to the gym at least 5 times a week. I really enjoy working out and seeing how my body develops over time. I started working out lightly my sophomore year and throughout the next two years I truly fell in love with working out. I feel as if it brings me to my happy place and just relaxes my brain. Its very hard to go to school from 8-3 and then go to the gym from 3:30-4:30 and then have work at five. Also with baseball season staring up soon its gonna be really hard for me to get my work outs in. I feel as if I have very strong motivation skills as long with a passion to grind.

Professional Summary

I grew up in Norristown, PA, later moving to Collegeville, PA. My father is a police officer, so living in the crime-ridden streets of Norristown, law enforcement has had a long line in my family. Discussion about drug dealers, kidnappings, and other criminal activities were a daily occurrence. Due to this, I have learn more than enough about the law to understand that even those with parking violations have to be treated equally with everybody else. Unlike other applicants, I have heard first hand accounts of criminal law, and how even a parking ticket can make the area a better place. I have never worked for money or other selfish interests, but I have worked only to genuinely ensure the well-being of the work environment and to make the area a better place for all. These have been my central morals, and I will take them where I go, whether that place be the streets of Norristown, the forests of Collegeville, or the Traffic Appeals Board of Hartford.

I am an aspiring leader and offer key strengths in critical thinking, decision-making, and innovation. With a clear focus on progress and forward momentum. I am adept at improving processes, revamping operations, and motivating teams to excel. I acquired crisis management and prevention, along with project planning and management skills as an effective team manager at Pieke PSO (Private Student Organisation). As a student at Stellenbosch University, I served on various student managerial committees. As part of Pieke PSO’s leadership committee, I served as a Financial Manager at the Financial Services department of the university, event planning manager and assisted with the day to day operations of the PSO. In my honours year, I served as Student Representative on the Maties Rugby Club Executive Committee and my main portfolio was student relations within the Maties Rugby Club.

Employment history

Food Runner, Cummings, Gerlach and Bechtelar. East Wilfordburgh, New Hampshire
Dec. 2019 – Jan. 2020
After I graduated on the 9th of December 2019, I helped out at Creation as a food runner during their festive 2-week buzz. Here I learned how to work under pressure, how to keep track of various variables, whilst simultaneously assisting wine sale hosts in selling wine.
Student financial manager, Schumm, Nolan and Kulas. Harveyville, Maryland
Mar. 2018 – Jul. 2019
During my time as a student financial manager, I worked for the financial services department of Stellenbosch University. During my time, my main tasks were to set up a yearly budget. This budget had to be detailed in terms of how I, alongside my other committee, were planning on spending the money that was allocated to us. This money had to be used in a corporate social responsible manner. All the procurement activities had to adhere to the financial policy set by the University. Whilst setting the budget, and part-taking in procurement activities I constantly kept the triple bottom line in mind.

Furthermore, I had to organise and manage various corporate events, such as year-end functions, corporate dances and corporate training days. Being a student financial manager thought me about teamwork, leadership, event planning and event management. Some of my other tasks were:

  • Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
  • Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of the event to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Greet customers entering establishments.
  • Sell tickets and other items to customers.
  • Sort, count and wrap currency and coins.
  • Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.

Wine Sales Assistant, Bayer-Gulgowski. Noreenville, Vermont
Dec. 2018 – Jan. 2019
During my third year summer holiday, I worked at Whalehaven winery as a wine sales assistant. During my time at Whalehaven my main task was to do wine tasting presentations and selling wine to customers. At Whalehaven I truly learned a lot about the Wine Industry in terms of exports and imports as Whalehaven is one of the largest Presseco importers in the country. They import under the Bottega family wines. Whalehaven thought me how to work in a diverse culture, how to handle clients ethically. At Whalehaven, I assisted in doing stock-takes ( I used some of my HPF knowledge and education here). I also organised the annual Seafood and wine festival hosted by Whalehaven.
Wine Sale Assistant, Parker Inc. West Deann, New York
Nov. 2017 – Dec. 2017
During my second year of studies at Stellenbosch University, I worked at Hermanuspietersfontein (HPF) as a wine sales assistant. My main task was to do wine tasting presentation, assist in the selling of wine, doing cash-ups and stock-takes. During my time at HPF, I also assisted in organising and managing the Saturday farmers market. Furthermore, I had to:
  • Greet guests, escort them to their seats and present them with menus and wine lists.
  • Operate cash registers to accept payments for wine sales
  • Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
