The project was created to ease the management of dealers, to develop a frame work and a guideline to develop the workshop itself along with the business model in the dealership. As the project lead, development of criteria for the evaluation, training on how to conduct the evaluation, deciding the scoring levels for each category with the higher management etc.
- To conduct such large scale projects in parallel with number of different individuals throughout the nation, project management methodologies such as ‘Scrum’ & ‘Agile’ was practised in the organisation.
- In addition to that, special tools which cannot be purchased off the shelf was designed, tested and distributed among the dealer network. Instances where mechanics and technicians inform on hard to remove parts in vehicles, development of special tools was initiated. The designs were created in SolidWorks and the tool was 3D printed to identify the clearances and the ease of use of the tool. Upon the satisfaction of 3D-Printed model, manufacturing is being initiated after selecting the appropriate materials depending on the application of the tools.
- Modifications to parts in vehicles was conducted if reoccurring failures were detected in production models. Here, identifying the cause of failure, modifying the part through SolidWorks and analysing it through CAE software such as Ansys 15, creating a testing part, test-fitting the part, conducting any modifications and implementing the changes through the vehicle supplier or by the organisation.
