· Administering Cognos BI systems on a day to day basis to ensure platforms meet our SLAs. This might include installation, support, configuration and tuning.
· Tuning Cognos and associated systems for expected performance and taking remedial actions when required.
· Troubleshoot issues within Cognos and associated environments and install fix packs
· Perform upgrades, set up security roles and users and troubleshoot issues
· Participate in executing disaster recovery procedures 
· End to End understanding of a BI distributed installation (including Cognos services, firewall, load balancer, gateways, application servers, content manager, databases and SSO setup)
· Provide support for BI developers with connection to data sources including: SQL, Netezza, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, Hive and Arcadia.
· Performed POC for cognos containerization by deploying cognos images in open shift platform 
· Responsible for installation, configuration, upgrading and maintaining Cognos 10 and CA11 Version in a distributed unix environment.
· Performing technical work in alignment to all ITIL process – mainly: Change Management, Incident and Service request Management, Problem Management.
· Providing technical support during COB dry run test and VTM patching activity.
· Migrating cognos content manually as well through RLM across SDLC

· Setup an new cognos CA11 environment (including Cognos services, firewall, load balancer, gateways, SSO , LDAP configuration) for KYC application in LATAM and Mexico region
· Performed COB dry run test to ensure application is up and running in COB.
· Managed Application severs in LATAM region and proposed automation ideas to reduce ticket count.
· Issues identification and fixing, performing Root Cause Analysis for issues and problems.
· Assist in verifying that client is on the right infrastructure foundation and that it is tuned for optimal performance.
