Verifies patient by reading patient identification.
Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and fingersticks.
Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures; observing isolation procedures.

Confer with upper management, organization officials, or staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.
Assist with coordinating activities between departments.
Confer with staff, physicians and upper management to discuss issues such as scheduling or staffing problems.
Perform personnel duties, such as
Act as a liaison between office manager and administrator, providing and communicating information that is relevant to perform daily duties.
Participate in the planning and execution of daily office duties
Use computer skills and software to manage Web sites or databases.

Perform Spirometry testing, electrocardiogram (EKG), or other routine diagnostic tests including PT/INR’s.
Inventory medical, lab, or office supplies or equipment.
Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
Transmitting prescription refills as directed
