I have been with the RSPCA for 10 years but obtained a senior role September 2016.
Duties still include some cleaning/feeding/handling of animals in areas where needed and short staffed.
The bulk of my role now is the line manager for the shelter animal attendants alongside a second senior member and shelter supervisor.
Completing rosters for the staff, approving annual leave/sick leave and addressing their concerns or issues within the work place. 
My position over see’s the kennels and admission areas. 
Ensuring dogs length of stay is at its best, ensuring staff are providing sufficient care and enrichment for dogs.
