I have been with the RSPCA for 10 years but obtained a senior role September 2016.
Duties still include some cleaning/feeding/handling of animals in areas where needed and short staffed.
The bulk of my role now is the line manager for the shelter animal attendants alongside a second senior member and shelter supervisor.
Completing rosters for the staff, approving annual leave/sick leave and addressing their concerns or issues within the work place. 
My position over see’s the kennels and admission areas. 
Ensuring dogs length of stay is at its best, ensuring staff are providing sufficient care and enrichment for dogs.
Training staff in dog interaction tests and behaviour tests.
Authorising incoming animals from public and other RSPCA shelters.
Discussing animal outcomes for adoption/rescue or euthanasia.
Ordering of food stock and equipment and anything else required for staff and volunteers.
Ensuring staff and volunteers complete tasks each day and have the support they require each day.
Working with rescues groups and making contact to assist them taking on our animals.

 

Began role as a casual animal attendant and obtained full time 2years later.
Duties included: feeding/cleaning and medicating animals in which ever area I was rostered.
I was trained and able to easily work across all areas with confidence; horses/livestock, dogs, cats, admissions and adoption officer.
Assisting vets with health checks and handling for euthanasia.
Training new staff or volunteers that came on board.
Completing rehab and enrichment for animals, particularly dogs and taking on role to over see care of long term dogs and puppy farm dogs in our care to ensure they are provided with as much enrichment and exercise we could give.

Completed my VCE work experience here whilst at school (2 weeks)
Cleaning/feeding animals, viewing on surgeries taking place, going out on calls for livestock with vets, washing and any other general day to day duties staff needed assistance with.

Worked here as a casual whilst casual at Rspca to have full time income.
Duties were very similar to Rspca with cleaning/feeding and medicating animals. 
Assisted with customers dropping off and picking up their animals.
Exercising dogs, bathing and grooming.

Set up own cleaning business with a friend cleaning New Homes built in different estates and locations.
Making contact with companies to book in days for cleans, completing own paperwork and wage documents.
Left due to obtaining full time work with Rspca.

Duties here included serving customers, restocking shelves and fridge/freezer items.
Last 12months months of job I became manager which then included opening and closing of store, handling end of day till count.
Delegating duties to other staff members and noting to owner for what stock we need to order in and any other concerns with shop or staff.

Casual job whilst in VCE.
Duties included serving customers at counter, assisting with  any of their other concerns. Restocking shelves when required, cashing up till at end of shift.
