Professional Summary

I will be graduating in May with a Bachelor in Arts with my major being English and my minor being Music. In my education I have been allowed the opportunities to lead a club as well as network with over 60+ other clubs in efforts to enhance student life. My goal in my club ( Graphic Novels Club) was to take the  interests and communities that the individuals already belong to and find ways to apply that into a college level conversation. Mainly, we allowed members to explore conversations about social justice and current events using the different fandoms and pop culture groups they belonged to. I have learned how to create a budget as well as plan events for a semester before the semester starts. My greatest skill is my ability to communicate with others and I was able to apply this skill in my role as Club President by assessing and catering to the diverse needs of my audience. Through my job at New Victory Pharmacy I have learned how to translate difficult explanations and directions into simpler more approachable terms in order for patients to properly take their medicine as well as translating the directions into simpler English for patients who may not have been proficient in English.

Employment history

Port Floriabury, Massachusetts
Missionary, Yundt-Larson

Missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints spend an average of 9 hours a day every day for two years teaching and serving people in their given areas.  Each day they wake up at exactly 6:30 AM, they exercise, and study for up to three hours if learning a foreign language.  They are then expected to work nonstop for the rest of the day teaching people about the Church of Jesus Christ, doing service and occasionally meeting with other missionaries for other responsibilities.  During my service I learned to speak Spanish fluently as I met and taught many immigrants to the United States.  I was also entrusted with several leadership assignments such as a District Leader and later on as a Zone Leader.  I served as a Zone Leader for nearly eight months of my mission where there was an increase in success and productivity in each of the three zones I led.  Missionaries must be able to talk to people from all kinds of backgrounds in all kinds of situations, including situations where people are very belligerent, without losing their composure and maintaining control.
